Good afternoon Camp Verde Families, CVUSD is pleased to announce our Summer Meals program. In conjunction with our educational Summer School Program we are offering FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL children through age 18. We ask that children be accompanied by an adult and adults may dine as well for low-cost of $3.00 for breakfast and $4.00 for lunch (cash only please). This is open the public and there is no requirement to be enrolled at CVUSD to take part in these FREE meals. See the flyer for location, dates and meal service times. Dear Parent or Guardian,
We are committed to creating the safest possible environment for our students and staff to learn, work, and grow. In response to the direction of our District Strategic Plan and stakeholder input from our most recent surveys, we would like to share with our community some important information and updates regarding safety measures at our schools.
Previously, our approach to confronting potential threats within our schools relied on a lockdown response. This method has been deemed insufficient by the Department of Education, independent researchers, and law enforcement. Through the direction and support of our Camp Verde Marshall’s Office, we are introducing the ALICE options-based safety strategy. ALICE, which stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate, is widely recognized as one of the most effective safety response strategies in schools nationwide. Not only does ALICE empower individuals to take an active role in their own survival, but it also ensures compliance with federally recommended guidelines.
CVUSD staff are currently undergoing training in ALICE protocols. This training will be ongoing as we strive to implement these strategies in ways that are appropriate for different age groups and abilities.
As stakeholders in our community and representatives of our students we would like to make you aware of this process and its implementation. We encourage you to explore more about the ALICE strategies through the following link: ALICE Training Information
As our staff becomes proficient in these strategies, we will also be educating your students about the ALICE protocols. We understand that discussions around safety can sometimes be challenging for students. If you have any questions or concerns, or if you feel your student may require specific support during these trainings, please reach out to your student’s teacher or administrator.

Howdy Parents/Guardians!! Are you aware your Middle School and High School students may supplement their school lunches with a la carte/snack items which are available for purchase during their lunchtime. These items are all Smart Snack Standard approved and available at reasonable pricing. You may limit the amount allowable to spend on a daily basis or block being able to purchase snacks all together by calling Food Service Supervisor Kathie Kopp at 928-567-8025. *Students with negative balances on their meal accounts are not permitted to purchase any a la carte or snack items*

There is K-12 Curriculum on display at the CVUSD District Office from the MATFORCE Be Drug Free Program. Feel free to stop in and check it out. It will be on display for 60 days before proposed adoption by the Governing Board.
The CVHS Basketball game times have been adjusted for this evening’s Senior Night games vs. Chino Valley. The Varsity Girls will play at 3:00 PM, and the Varsity Boys will play at 4:30 PM, with Senior Night celebrations taking place at 6:00 PM. JV Basketball games have been cancelled. Come out and support your Cowboys!

Hey there Parents! Did you know there are 3 payment options for your students Meal Accounts? When a student is enrolled in school they are assigned an ID number that they will keep throughout their time at CVUSD. If you do not know your students ID number, please contact your school. All students key in their ID number on a pin pad when they go through the breakfast and/or lunch line to make meal and ala carte purchases. Camp Verde Middle School has placed supplementary books for the sixth-grade Social Studies class at the district office for display. These books are intended to complement the curriculum, providing additional reading materials that enhance understanding of the historical periods studied. They cover cross-curricular standards and will be used during reflective time to deepen students' comprehension. Feel free to visit the district office and explore these resources!
